The Gathering is a non-profit organization and has been operating in St. Bernard Parish since Hurricane Katrina. We have helped gut homes, remodel, and assist residents in moving furniture, etc.

United Saints Recovery Project
The mission of the United Saints Recovery Project is to help revitalize economically distressed neighborhoods of New Orleans afflicted by blight, affected by disasters, and to help those in need. Our focus is to assist the elderly, handicapped, and disadvantaged in rehabilitating and rebuilding their homes, United Saints Recovery Project also does community service and beautification projects.
Type of Work: Cleaning, organizing, and assisting with minor repairs
Ages: 16 & older
Overall capacity: Minimum of 5 up to a maximum of 20

St. Bernard Project
The St. Bernard Project’s Rebuilding Program rebuilds homes for senior citizens, people with disabilities and families with children who can not afford to have their homes rebuilt by contractors.
Type of Work: Rebuilding, remodeling
Ages: 15 or older
